Special Education For Students…

Kapi‘olani Community College offers students interested in working with children and youth with special needs the following degree:

Associate in Liberal Arts (A.A.) with a Focus in Special Education (60 credits)

Degree Description:

  • Two-year degree with practical coursework in general education courses
  • Specialization in SPED courses
  • Education for employment in global settings
  • Students may transfer to the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa to fulfill a Bachelor’s degree and licensure

Transfer Options

The Associates in Arts (A.A.) Degree with a Focus in Special Education will allow students to continue for a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Degree at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, or another baccalaureate teacher education college or university.
